- 16-18 Learners
- 16-24 Learners with LDA/ECHP
- 19+ Continuing Learners (on a 2-year course)
The student’s gross annual household income needs to be £27,500 or less.
Meals Awards
Household income needs to be £16,190 or less and/or parents needs to be in receipt of tax credit award or child tax credit benefits. Students will be able to purchase food or drink at either Willesden or Wembley canteen. Students would need to present their student ID cards, whereby they can claim the value of £3 for the days they are timetabled in College. Any value at the end of the day will be automatically deleted.16-18 Bursary (towards materials/books costs)

Students who are studying towards a hairdressing/beauty/sports & exercise science qualification will be entitled to 70% towards the cost of the associated materials.16-18 Vulnerable Bursary Fund
To be eligible for this bursary support, student needs to meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Student is a Looked After Child with Local Authority
- Student is in receipt of Income Support
- Student is in receipt of both Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payment and Employment Support Allowance.
- Student needs to be in receipt of both of the benefits and provide evidence.
Bursary Support: up to £1,200 throughout the academic year
Meals Award: Value of £3 for the days students are timetabled in College.
Applying for Hardship/Financial Support Checklist
Students need to fully complete an application form and provide all supporting evidence.
- Supporting Documents: Evidence of student’s current residency (passport, British passport, biometric Card, home office documents, travel document)
- Evidence that your parent/carer are in receipt of Tax Credit Award Notice OR Child Benefit, PLUS one of the following:
- Support Letter from DWP
- Income based JSA
- Income ESA
- Support under Part IV of the Immigration & Asylum Act
- Universal Credit
- Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
- Working /Child Tax Credit (all pages)
- Recent bank statements will only be required to evidence that parent/carer is in receipt of any of the above benefits (if you do not have the benefits letters).
- Recent payslips (last 2 months) or tax return/accountant’s letter will only be required to evidence household gross annual income.
Students applying for the 16-18 vulnerable bursary will need to submit one of following evidence:
- Social Services Letter (Looked After Child/Care Leavers)
- Income Support (in student’s name only)
- Disability Living Allowance/PIP and Employment Support Allowance (in student’s name only)
- Students aged between 16-24 on a Learning Difficulty Assessment or Education, Health and Care Plan will need to provide evidence of their EHCP/LDA plan.
