Documents to bring to enrolment

To ensure a smooth enrolment process, please bring the following documents and information with you:

1. Proof of Identity

You must bring one official document that shows your full name and date of birth. Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • Valid UK or international passport
  • UK driving licence
  • National identity card
  • UK birth certificate

If you're an EU or EEA national, you must also bring evidence of your pre-settled or settled status. Find out more here.

2. Qualification Records

Please bring details or certificates of all qualifications you’ve previously achieved - whether at this college or elsewhere. This includes:

  • GCSEs or A Levels
  • Vocational qualifications
  • Apprenticeships or training records

3. EHCP (if applicable)

If you are aged 19 to 24 and have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), please bring it with you to enrolment.

4. Evidence of Benefits (if applicable)

If you receive means-tested benefits such as:

  • Universal Credit
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
  • Employment Support Allowance (ESA)

You must bring proof of your most recent payments.

5. Evidence of Low Income (if applicable)

If you live in the Greater London Authority area and earn less than £25,642.50 gross per year, you may be eligible for fee remission.
If you live outside this area, the threshold is £25,000.00.

Bring recent payslips or salary evidence to check your eligibility.

6. Learner Support Fund Bursary (if applicable)

If you are applying for the Learner Support Fund bursary, you must bring:

Evidence of Residency - provide ONE of the following:

  • Valid UK Passport
  • UK Birth Certificate
  • Valid Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)
  • Share code / e-Visa

Evidence of Household Income – based on your situation:

16–18 Living in the Care of Social Services
Bring ONE of the following:

  • Letter from a social worker (dated within the last 3 months) confirming care status and the type of support required (e.g., free meals, travel)
  • The last 3 months of Universal Credit payment statements (PDF format)

16–18 Living with Parent/Guardian
Bring your Child Benefit letter (dated within the last 3 months) OR full birth certificate,
PLUS ONE of the following:

  • Last 3 months of Universal Credit payment statements (PDF format)
  • P60 for 2024–25 plus rental contract or mortgage statement
  • 3 recent payslips plus rental contract or mortgage statement
  • Pension Credit letter (dated within the last 3 months)

NASS Learners (16–18) Living with Parent/Guardian
Provide ALL of the following:

  • Biometric Residence Permit (ARC Card)
  • Section 95 letter
  • ASPEN card
  • Balance receipt from your ASPEN card

7. Advanced Learner Loan (if applicable)

If your course is Level 3 or above and you're not eligible for fee remission, you may be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan. Our staff will guide you through the process and provide the necessary information at enrolment.

Once your documents and course details are reviewed, we’ll confirm whether you’re eligible for fee remission. If not, you’ll need to be ready to pay your course fees at the enrolment desk.
