Six students from across City of Westminster College and College of North West London took home Jack Petchey Achievement Awards in February for going above and beyond to achieve in college.
Here’s some more about our winners:
College of North London
Gavis Martins
Gavis is a great personality to have around college. He is the Student President at Willesden Campus and volunteers in many college events. Gavis also engages with Enrichment’s Boxing Club and visits the Enrichment Hub regularly. He balances extra-curricular activities along with his studies and is a good role model for other students.
Yasmin Latif
Yasmin has done amazing work advocating for and spreading awareness of autism throughout college. She also took on the role of Student Union President and EDI Officer to help reshape the Student Union at her campus.
Jessica Amartrifio
Jessica has achieved great things with the Student Union at her campus. She is a Student Governor, helping implement and promote school rules, values, and policies to ensure a positive environment. She also advocates for student rights, well-being, and interests within the school community.
Osamo Mohamud Abdi
Osamo has 100% attendance and 100% punctuality at college. He is always looking to be more involved within the college, having both applied for a Student Marketing Ambassador role and offered his help setting up enrichment events.
City of Westminster College
Victor Tolentino Siqueira
Victor is an active member of the Student Union and has achieved 89% overall attendance. He consistently goes out of his way to support staff and his peers in both internal and extra-curricular events including college open days. He is also a regular attendee of our volleyball club and gets fully involved in each session despite only having use of one arm.
Omar Dhimi
Omar has achieved an incredible 100% overall attendance this year and is an influential role model for his peers. He is a dedicated IT student and prominent member of the college basketball team, demonstrating a great balance between education and enrichment.
