Hair and Beauty Students at Wembley Park campus hosted an amazing morning of pampering treatments to celebrate International Women's Day 2023

More than 30 students from the Level 1 Hair and Beauty, Level 2 Hairdressing and Level 3 Beauty courses were busy all morning offering mini manicures, facials, cut-and-blow drys and Indian Head Massages to staff, fellow students and members of the public.

Charmaigne Krokou, Curriculum Manager, Hair and Beauty, said: “The students worked extremely hard throughout the morning and offered an extremely professional service when delivering their treatments. This event was well organised by all our tutors and the students gained some valuable 'work experience' when dealing with members of the public and other college staff.

“The students were very proud to have raised £87.00 towards a local Women's Charity which helps women that have suffered abuse and I know the money will be greatly received by the charity and will go to a very worthwhile cause."

Shirley Ricketts, from The Phoenix Project charity, said: “Please accept our thanks on behalf of the women that we support, who will benefit from your kind donation.

“The money will be used to buy food vouchers for the clients who are struggling financially and refuse to be dependent of their abusers for money to feed themselves and their children.

“Once again, please accept my thanks and gratitude for the generosity and kindness shown to our charity by your staff and students."
