Plastering students scoop prizes at awards night

Two students from the College of North West London (CNWL) were all smiles after winning awards at a recent event held by the Plasterers Guild.

Rebecca Street and Lenny Miller both scooped prizes at the prestigious ceremony, which honours students and apprentices in the field of fibrous plastering.

Rebecca, from Sittingbourne, joined CNWL three years ago, earning distinctions in both theory and practical sessions during her first two years. In the third year, she achieved one of the highest scores in Britain for the Level 3 Advanced Diploma in plastering (fibrous plastering section), gaining a distinction overall. Her achievements earned her a nomination for Student of the Year at the awards night, where Rebecca, an apprentice with D.O.P Ltd, took the runners-up spot.

Lenny, an apprentice with Locker and Riley Ltd based in Essex, has almost finished his second year at CNWL and hopes to carry-on and complete his level 3 at the college next year. Lenny achieved second place in the Apprentice of the Year category after being nominated by his company.
