In celebration of International Women's Day 2022, Hair and Beauty students at our Wembley Park campus hosted a Spa and Pampering morning on Friday 11th March.
A selection of treatments from haircuts, facials, manicures and Indian head massages were on offer to students, staff and members of the public with a small donation being asked for each treatment supporting a local Women's refugee charity in Brent.
The event was coordinated by the Hair and Beauty department together with the Enrichment Team and £171.50 raised will be donated to the Phoenix Project which supports Women and Girls from BAME backgrounds in Brent against violence and harm.
The students were extremely professional and courteous throughout the event and Charmaigne Krokou, Curriculum Manager, was full of praise for her students saying "what a wonderful event, celebrating IWD 2022, with every student gaining valuable experience to help them with their respective courses. I am very proud of them all and thanks to everyone involved in making today happen."
