Celebrating International Women’s Day 2022

College of North West London is proud to be taking part in International Women’s Day 2022.

Every year, International Women’s Day urges us all to help create a gender equal world, celebrate women’s achievements, increase visibility for key issues, and call out inequality and discrimination.

Celebrated across the world on 8 March, the event centres on a different theme each year, with this year’s theme being break the bias.

Campaigners, activists, politicians, businesspeople, and educators around the globe are calling on everyone to work towards a world that is free from the bias, stereotypes, and discrimination that still present barriers to women.

The United Colleges Group is marking the event across its campuses, including seeing some of its talented female plumbing students taking part in an all-women competition.

The group, which brings together City of Westminster College and College of North West London, is proud to be part of International Women’s Day 2022 and recommits itself to championing women’s rights and gender equality.

United Colleges Group Director of People and Communications, Claire Collins, said:
“We are proud to be supporters of, and participants in, International Women’s Day 2022. Promoting the rights and accomplishments of women, and working actively to end gender bias and discrimination, is key to our mission at the United Colleges Group and fundamental to everything we do."

“I wish everyone joining in this important event a happy, fulfilling, and positive International Women’s Day 2022.”
