United Colleges Group Marks Mental Health Awareness Week

The United Colleges Group is marking Mental Health Awareness Week 2021.

As the country emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, the group, which comprises of City of Westminster College and College of North West London, recognises the heightened importance of promoting good mental health habits across its campuses and is committed to doing its part to encourage them.

The pandemic has presented significant problems for many people, who have found themselves under additional pressure and anxiety as a result of the circumstances we have all found ourselves in.

Mental Health Awareness Week runs 10-16 May and is themed around reconnecting with nature.

The group encourages its staff and students to participate in Mental Health Awareness Week 2021 and to do what they can to connect with nature in whatever way they can.

It also wishes to draw attention to the wealth of resources available at its colleges and on the Mental Health Foundation website.

College of North West London and City of Westminster College are both dedicated to promoting positive mental health among their college communities and are therefore proud to fully endorse its aims, activities, and outcomes.

Stephen Davis, Group Principal of the United Colleges Group, said:

“The COVID-19 pandemic has been incredibly tough on mental health across the world and so we believe that it is imperative that we support the work of Mental Health Awareness Week 2021.

“If we all do our bit for ourselves, and those in our lives, we can work together to make a real and significant impact on this most important of issues.

“I would encourage everyone to take part in Mental Health Awareness Week 2021, and do their best to reconnect with nature as best they can, and I wish everyone every success in doing so.”
