Bricklaying - Diploma L3

Diploma In Bricklaying (19+): Level 3

This course is for you if you already have a Level 2 qualification, are working in the industry, or have experience in the industry and need a recognised qualification to help improve your job prospects. At this level, you will build on your existing skills and move on to more complex structures and maintenance techniques.

You will construct the following:

* Repair and maintain masonry structures

* Constructing radial and battered brickwork

* Carrying out decorative and reinforced brickwork

* Constructing fireplaces and chimneys

You will need English and Maths skills at Level 2. If you do not have evidence of your English and Maths levels you will be given an online English and Maths assessment after you submit your application. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be offered an interview with a tutor to discuss the course. If you are aged 16-18 you will need to complete Level 2 before taking Level 3.
Practical sessions will be carried out in our workshops where you will cover safe working practices, building methods and construction and complex masonry structures. Your practical sessions will be supported by theory lessons in the classroom to ensure you develop your underpinning knowledge to achieve your qualification.
You will be assessed through your demonstration of practical skills and also the successful completion of City & Guilds multiple choice tests.
You can apply online or phone us on 020 8208 5050 and request an application form. Alternatively, you can call into our centres at Willesden and Wembley Park and collect a form in person. Application forms are also available in our Prospectus.
