Early Years Workforce: Level 3

This qualification will prepare learners to work with children between birth and 5 years and gain knowledge of children up to the age of 7 years old. This qualification prepares learners for employment in the Childcare sector for jobs such as Nursery Assistants, Classroom Assistants, Nannies and Pre-School Assistants. Whilst on the programme, learners will need to complete a 2-day-a-week work placement, working in a nursery setting with 3 age groups: 0-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-5 years.
Learners must be operating above level 1 for English and Maths. All learners need to complete a DBS application.
You will be taught using a range of teaching tools and techniques including lectures, role play activities, scenarios, group and pair work, assignments, presentations and work experience in the sector. As part of your course, you will have to attend work placements, see below: Days at placement working with babies, toddlers and 3-5 year olds: Mon-Tue 9.00-15.00. College days: TBC.
All units are internally assessed. Learners must complete assignment tasks set by CACHE for knowledge outcomes within the College, as well as a variety of assessment methods in their work placement.
