High levels of knowledge, technical ability and creativity are needed to pursue a career in this industry. The profession offers qualified hairdressers the flexibility to be self-employed and run their own businesses. This course offers the chance to study men’s hairdressing which covers styling, cutting men's hair and cutting facial hair. Many learners studying the Level 2 Women's Hairdressing course undertake this as an additional course to gain further knowledge and skills enabling them to develop a broad range of skills to work on both men and women. You will study in our fully equipped Salon and train on models and salon clients.
You will need to purchase a barbering kit approx cost £175. Uniform approx £10. Concessions are available to assist with the costs.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners will need to demonstrate English and Maths skills at Level 1; either through qualifications already achieved or by our Initial Assessment. You will also be asked to undertake a Skills Assessment for Hairdressing, as applicants will need to demonstrate knowledge of Hairdressing.
How is the course taught?
You will be taught in our fully equipped Hair Salon using a range of teaching materials and techniques.
