Work Experience with Reed NCFE

The College of North West London is proud to be working in partnership with Reed NCFE to deliver its programme of work experience.

Who We Are

REED NCFE is a joint venture company between public service provider Reed in Partnership, and award-winning awarding body NCFE.

Reed in Partnership is one of the UK’s leading employment and skills providers. They have helped over 110,000 people move from benefit dependency into employment. As part of the Reed Group and drawing on 50 years of recruitment experience they have worked with many thousands of employers, from small local businesses to large international corporations. Reed in Partnership specialises in providing employment and skills programmes that are designed to break down the barriers to employment for young people or the long-term unemployed. This success stems from taking the time to understand the requirements of customers and creating tailored solutions in order to achieve sustainable results every time.

NCFE is passionate about designing, developing and delivering nationally recognised qualifications and awards. These qualifications contribute to the success of millions of learners at all levels, bringing them closer to fulfilling their personal goals. Each year approximately 500,000 learners from over 2,000 colleges, schools and training organisations choose NCFE as the awarding organisation to help them move their careers forward.

Working with the academic and student support teams within the requirements of the Study Programme, we help prepare 16-18 year old learners for work experience and broker for them to access a range of suitable placement opportunities (paid and unpaid) with local employers.  

Students can come and meet us for a 1-2-1 appointment to discuss their course and desired work experience placement, as well as receive support with:

  • CV Writing
  • Interview Skills
  • Advice and guidance on finding a work placement
  • Preparation for work placement
  • Advice and guidance on finding work

    Employers can get in touch to discuss:
  • Working with the college to offer work placements
  • Attending jobs and careers fairs within the college
  • Promotion of vacancies to students
  • Careers talks and workshops to curriculums
