Who is this course for?
Those working in the construction industry or those wishing to enter the construction industry as building managers, technicians or surveyors,looking for a nationally recognised qualification to improve employment prospects. Others may also wish to progress to degree level studies and membership of professional institutions.

What are the entry requirements?
BTEC National Certificate (PM grade), Diploma (PPM grade) in Construction; One A Level in a science or maths related subject or other similar qualifications. Minimum Literacy: Level 2 Minimum Numeracy: Level 2

After applying you will have an interview to determine which course is suitable for your needs and abilities.

    Where can it lead?
    Depending on the match of Higher National Units to the foundation degree programme, progression to the final (third) year of a foundation degree programme may be possible, followed by further studies towards Honours degree level and professional body examinations in the sector.

    What will I study?
    The programme leads to a ten-Unit qualification. A further two optional units may be offered. Core Units include: Design Principles and Application (H1), Science and Materials (H1), Analytical Methods (H1), Management Principles and Applications (H2), Group Project (H2), Health, Safety and Welfare (H2).

    Optional Units include: Technology A (H1), Building Services Engineering Technology (H1), Technology B (H2), Contractual Procedures (H2). Specialist pathways are also available such as Site Surveying Procedures (H2) and Measurement A (H1).

    How will I be assessed?
    Ongoing assessment of assignments and projects. Some end of Unit/Module and in course test/examinations.

    Full Time Overseas FeesUp to £3330*
    UK Home FeesUp to £1195*

    Students aged between 16-18 will be charged a £20 resource fee, plus material courses if applicable.

    On income-based benefit? You could study for only £30.
