Plastering

The College of North West London is recognised as one of the region’s best for training in plastering. Our students have won many awards from the trade body, the Worshipful Company of Plasterers, as well as regularly reaching the national finals of World Skills UK, competing alongside top plastering students and apprentices from across the country.

A plastering career involves applying different kinds of plaster to give a finish to internal walls, floors, and ceilings. Plasterers also apply coatings to outside walls using sand and cement, pebbledash and stone-effect materials.

Our students develop specialist skills as they develop. At advanced levels, we teach ‘fibrous plastering’ - a highly skilled technique used in creation of ornamentation and restoration of historic buildings.
